Creativity and capability: once informed about a  clients needs, we carefully read over the brief and  then brainstorm our way to a solution. Alsco has the technical and creative ability to develop even electronic tailor-made tooled items such as the Timerball or Auto Scan radios.

Another design project that required innovative creativity was two different crystal decorations for 2 corporations commemorating their anniversaries. It was important that we made use of our professionalism and experience to listen and observe the needs of these two different companies. After reviewing their thoughts on the matter we came up with the idea of a Crystal Plasma TV and a Crystal Escalator: concepts that reflected each companies own expertise supported by our own creativity and capabilities.

Uniquely designed ball that makes an attractive desktop ornament with hidden functions, originally designed to remind people to take a snack break, have a rest and relax. This Timerball has the added function that when you shake the ball gently it will scroll an amusing joke or message across the bottom of the ball, shake it again and a new message appears. Set the timer by turning the handle clockwise and a gentle 'beep' will remind you that it is time for a break, or time to do something important or measures off the time it takes to carry out a task. Messages can be tailor-made to suit your needs.

Knowing what is happening behind you, can make a different to what you do in front of you, which is why we are particularly pleased with the popularly pleased with the popularity of our idea for the rear mirror. How much more secure people feel when they can check behind them without being distracted form what they are doing. This new technology has many features combined into one neat unit. Designed as a watch, it has a thermometer, as well as the rather unusual ability to set up meetings silently. They have the little sucker feet that will stick solidly on most materials ensuring they stay where you leave them. Designed with extendable antenna, loudspeakers and earphones with a special auto-scanning feature that will track down your favourite station in moments.

Branding is also an easy option with this radio as we built in a transparent window that allows advertising logos or brand marks to be seen easily. Multi-coloured bodies and eight positions for the feet, mean these adorable little aliens appear different every time you look at them. These alien invaders are such perfect companions that you will want them in all the colours for every room at home as well as the office.

Our idea for a Euro Counter and Sorter offers a more efficient way for coins to be saved because of its unusual design, which is so very different from the traditional piggy bank. Originally designed with the new Euro currency in mind, it has now been adapted to take Korean Won and US dollars making it a very multicurrency friendly tool. Generation II of the Euro Sorting and Counting box combines sorting and electronic counting functions, while the electronic chip saves the total value of all coins giving a target saving function. The sorter function has a sorting path, which groups the coins together according to their diameter. Generation I of the Euro Coin Sorter was specially designed for the changeover to the Euro currency and seems to be able to magically sort eight different sizes/values of Euro coins. The eye-catching semi-transparent case allows the user to view the coins as they move along the sorting path.

This saving box stores, counts and adds the value of Euro coins and identifies the value of each coin. It not only computes the total number of coins, but also the total value of all coins in the saving box. The number of a certain value of coins can be computed and the total value of a specific coin identified.This unique feature allows users to set a target for saving and know when it's been met. In this case, the information is available on the total value of all coins in the saving box and the balance amount to reach the target. To retrieve the saved coins, a simple plastic door on the base can be opened mechanically by releasing a snapper by inserting any credit card or similar material. As an added bonus, there is a large, eye-catching area for logos or even colourful graphics. Graphics are offset-printed on paper and protected by a transparent window.
